Saraswat Vidyalaya - Know Us Better
The liberal winds of Republic rule in Portugal in 1910 reached the quiet shores of Goa, sending waves of liberation and aspiration. This period coincided with the National Education Movement across India.
Inspired by dreams of shaping their own future, people came together for their upliftment. Thus was born Saraswat Vidyalaya Society on 2nd March 1911 - one of Goa's oldest and most renowned institutions with over 110 years of tradition.
Founded in the pre-liberation era by visionaries inspired by lofty ideals of freedom and an earnest desire to awaken Goans to participate in shaping 20th century Goa. The sapling planted by our pioneers has grown into a full-fledged tree with various fruit-bearing branches.
